Saint Nicolas–Tsitalia

Overview

This trek begins at the old steamroller located by the main bridge over the Daphnona River. Our first stop is the Monastery of Saint Nicolas Sitzas. After a short stop, we continue for about 2 hours along an old stone path which connects the monastery with the traditional village of Tsitalia.

After a rest, we continue to an old path which leads to the church of Saint Thanasios. Soon, we reach the main road to Leonidion, and, heading through the orange groves of Marathia, we get back to our starting point in about an hour.

Bring with you Trainers or trekking boots, light sportswear, a hat and water
